The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions on homestoreliving.co.uk. The use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. The placement of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference.

General

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age and accept delivery to a UK mainland address. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.

Accuracy of Product Information

All product specifications, images and other information published on our website have either been made accessible by suppliers, manufacturers, publications, products, or been gathered from public domain sources. The intention of homestoreliving.co.uk is that all information on the website should be as accurate and up to date as possible. However, homestoreliving.co.uk cannot guarantee the reliability or the accuracy of the information contained within its pages. All the actions taken by the user of the website are the responsibility of the individual.

Payment and Price

The total price payable for the goods will be debited from your account at the time you place your order. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our suppliers’ prices, or the imposition of any taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been confirmed. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order. All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT and delivery charges which will be payable as indicated at the time of placing your order and confirmed during the checkout process.

Typographical Errors

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information from our suppliers, taxes or duty changes, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. If your credit card has already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order we will immediately issue a refund to your credit card account in the value of monies paid (including delivery charges).

Payment Methods

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard and Switch. At the time of ordering you must provide us with your exact billing address and telephone number – the address and phone number your credit card company or bank has on file for you. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received.

Klarna

In cooperation with Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden, we offer you the following payment options. Payment is to be made to Klarna:

  • Pay later in 30 days
  • Pay later in 3 interest-free instalments

Availability of Goods

All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at anytime. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will not charge you for them and will refund any money already paid for them. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply the goods.

Delivery Charges

You will be charged a delivery charge according to the item you ordered and your delivery address. This is calculated and displayed at checkout.

Delivery Times

We will endeavour to deliver goods within the times stated but goods are subject to availability and delay in delivery of goods is sometimes outside of our control. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivery of the goods.

Risk

As soon as we have delivered the goods to your door, you will be responsible for them. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order and goods will not be left without a signature. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk.

Product Guarantees

Some products supplied are covered by the Terms & Conditions of the Manufacturer’s Guarantee, this will be made clear to you. This does not affect your statutory rights. In all other cases, no guarantee is given.

Deliveries

We will only deliver goods to the address on the order. On delivery our couriers will require you to sign a Proof of Delivery which shall be conclusive evidence that you have received your order.

You agree to check the goods on receipt and inform us of any obvious external cosmetic damage following inspection of the goods. If there is any obvious cosmetic external damage to the goods at the time of delivery then you agree to note these on the delivery paperwork or refuse the delivery. We also ask that customers check that the number of packages being delivered corresponds with the consignment note. If you do not receive the correct number of items please mark down the number of items received on the consignment note and upon closer inspection notify us of any missing or incorrect items.

All delicate items, including mirrored and glass products, will be unpacked and checked off on delivery.

Signing the delivery note to accept receipt and confirming you have inspected them for any obvious external cosmetic damage are conditions of the sale and we reserve the right not to complete the delivery if you refuse these conditions. If we refuse delivery then the goods will be returned and all monies paid will be refunded.

Where any obvious cosmetic external damage has been noted on your Proof of Delivery this shall not affect your statutory rights.

Once you have received goods you will be responsible for their care. Damage incurred to the goods subsequent to delivery will be your responsibility.

If upon fully inspecting the goods any discrepancies such as goods shortages or incorrect goods are apparent we ask that you report them to us by email to customerservice@homestoreliving.co.uk within a reasonable time.

Reviews

By placing an order with Home Store Living you consent to receive an invitation to review your order via email or telephone, sent either by ourselves or our third party partners Trustpilot or CusRev.

Cancellations

Orders cancelled once the goods have been dispatched will result in a refund of the products, minus any costs incurred by us in recovering the items back to our warehouse.

Orders cancelled which are classed as “non-stock items” i.e are shipped directly from the manufacturers are subject to a restocking charge of up to 25% if cancelled, once they have left the manufacturer’s premises.

Products which are classed as “special orders” or “made-to-order” are custom made on demand specifically for you to your specifications and cannot be cancelled at all due to their bespoke nature. We also cannot accept returns for these types of item once they have been delivered.

Returns Policy

  1. If you are not totally satisfied with your purchase for any reason it is your responsibility to return any such items in a pristine saleable condition in their original box and packaging & provide evidence of the goods being sent back.
  2. It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect all goods prior to use. We cannot accept returns for any cosmetic imperfections once the item has been used, and these will not be considered for return or exchange.
  3. Please note that imperfections to the underside or inside of items are not considered faults – they are a natural by-product incidental or secondary to how the items are manufactured.
  4. To complete your return, we require that you email sales@homestoreliving.co.uk within 14 days of receiving your order. We do not process return requests via text, phone or social media. Failure to notify us within this time may result in your request being denied. Returns requests without sufficient photographic evidence will not be considered. Our returns address is: 61 Shields Road, Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE61EJ. Once we have given permission to return, your item(s) must be back with us within 10 days to allow us to process your refund. Items received after this time will not be eligible for a refund. Please allow up to 30 days for all card refunds.
  5. You will be fully responsible for the return of the goods and any associated costs of return.
  6. We accept no responsibility for the return of items through third party couriers, and so recommend that you obtain valid proof of postage and/or postage insurance when sending your item back.
  7. In all instances of return of goods by customer choice except for damaged goods the initial delivery charge paid is non-refundable.
  8. The delivery charge we make is a subsidised charge and does not reflect the true cost of delivering the items we sell. Should you wish to return an item please be aware that should you choose to use our carriers the charge will be a minimum admin and collection charge of £65.
  9. If your items are received back to us incomplete, damaged or in any condition other than saleable we reserve the right to refuse any refund, return the products to you and charge for delivery back to you, or we may charge a minimum 25% restocking charge.

Non-delivery of Goods

Once delivery has been arranged it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that someone is at the property to accept the goods. Should our vehicles or vehicles delivering on our behalf arrive and not be able to deliver a fixed charge of £35 will be made. This is the cost incurred for storage of the item and arranging re-delivery or return delivery to our warehouse. By accepting our terms and conditions you are agreeing the additional charge can be taken from your credit or debit card.

In all cases delivery charges are non-refundable once delivery has been attempted.

Should you wish to return an item please be aware that should you choose to use our carriers according to the terms and conditions, the charge will be a minimum admin and collection charge of £65.

Time Limitation for Notification of Claims

Damage in transit: If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must make a note on the carrier’s delivery consignment note and return the goods with the carrier. By signing for the goods you are stating that you are willing to keep the goods regardless of condition. Failure to return known damaged goods or failure to fully check items prior to accepting them is the responsibility of the customer.

Shortages: It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the carrier’s delivery consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note and it will be your responsibility to notify us within 48 Hours of delivery.

Incorrect Goods: It is your responsibility to notify us of any incorrect goods supplied within 14 days of delivery.
